În 4 octombrie este ultima zi când se pot înainta nominalizările naționale pentru Convenția Societății Europene de Science Fiction, EuroCon, care se va desfășura la Barcelona între 4 și 6 noiembrie 2016.

          Cei care se pricep într-ale sf-ului în România, aceste câteva zeci care ne numim „fandomul“, nu reușesc/reușim deloc în ultimii cinci ani, cel puțin, să vorbească normal despre acest subiect, fiindcă nu reușesc/reușim să vorbim pe niciun subiect.  S-a ajuns la un blocaj, cel mai bine demonstrat de degringolada Romcon-ului de anul acesta, iar, până la urmă, cuvântul de ordine este „chiar dacă eu nu fac nimic, nu voi lăsa nici pe altcineva să facă“. Ei bine, eu n-am respectat niciodată cuvântul de ordine, uniformitatea este anticreativă, nu-i așa?, iar în chestiunea nominalizărilor pentru Eurocon, această atitudine m-a adus în poziția de-a le face singur – cât de singur poate fi un critic, un rol care nu poate fi scris fără scrierile altora – din 2012 încoace, cu excepția anului trecut, și am greșit, crezând că necesitatea respectării unui termen va face discuțiile interne ale fandomului să se fructifice. Iată de ce mă întorc, în 2016, cu o listă de nominalizări trimisă la timp, căci altcineva nu s-a învrednicit: vor spune fie că Eurocon-ul este prea amatoristic, fie că nu contează în general, fie că nu contează pentru ei. Bineînțeles, își vor rezerva dreptul să mă acuze și să acuze pe cei nominalizați de… citiți editorialele de HELION, GALILEO și FICȚIUNI, căci comentariile de facebook nu le consider „lectură“. Așadar, în ultima zi posibilă, iată nominalizările românești către Europa, pentru 2016:
